I was thrilled beyond words to read that Eklavya was selected as India's official entry for the Oscars. Woohoo! for my friends at Animagic India.
Of course, like everything else, there is a controversy behind the selection that reached the Bombay High Court. Sigh!
Here's my post on Eklavya and the talented team at Animagic, if you missed it earlier.
I saw my first owl last weekend, perched on my neighbor's roof. A couple of my neighbors were over for dinner and we were enjoying the failing light of an early fall day on my patio, when it swooped over us and onto the neighbor's roof. What were we eating, you say? A simple dinner: a version of my spring salad (yes, I know it's fall!), turkey kheema with store bought roghani naan, Gujarati dal with steamed rice with a smidgeon of ghee. For dessert, we had assorted cheesecakes from the Cheesecake Factory. The owl was enormous and unfortunately it was not there long enough for me to take a picture. It was gone by the time we whispered loudly to the children to come out and take a look. It made the evening special for all of us!
Talking of pictures, the ever-enterprising duo Jai and Bee have come up with a monthly event called Click! - a themed photography event. The theme for the month of October is Eggs! So I decided to crack it a bit since I am finally on a high, after a long period of being and feeling low.
More about High Key - Cracked Egg on my Inner Lens. Go on! Click through and see if you can figure out how I made the egg stand.
Hope your second weekend of fall is going as well as mine!
