I still have some from the first batch I made in 2007 and it is treated with reverence each time it is eaten and shared with others :) Can't thank you enough for this!Cynthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01565340772467109199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5156654.post-31174317840543996442009-08-20T15:47:29.455-06:002009-08-20T15:47:29.455-06:00I don't know how high 11.000ft is but I landed...I don't know how high 11.000ft is but I landed first time today on your blog and loved the rant on Indian food. You said everything and more when people tell me they don't like"curry" or love Indian food (chiken tikka). I just want them to come over and eat some home made food for a month. And don't get me started on working moms who eat my food and tell me I have time to cook since I stay at home. My mom worked and cooked all her life while taking care of three kids... sorry I am starting on my own rant here. Love your blog. :) Will be back.Desisoccermomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06636571476699845725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5156654.post-85546843681426731162009-08-18T11:37:05.880-06:002009-08-18T11:37:05.880-06:00Nirmala, not from sea-level, no! We turned back at this point as Medha was feeling a little sick because of the quick gain in altitude. This was taken just past timberline. It was also cold and windy. Thank you for thinking of us! We could do with all the good vibes you send our way! Got pics from your trip?

Engineer Baker, mindblowingly so! Raw nature in your face. Although I have been told: "it's all just brown here." I wave them goodbye!

Nandini, to be so young and slim! It's Medha.

Anita, so glad you took my advice about your nickname / handle! It was a great day to hike Flattop as the sky was clear and there were no afternoon thunderstorms brewing, as is the norm in the mountains. The rest of the trail is even steeper, very rocky and above timberline, which makes it tricky during bad weather as there is no shelter. We didn't make it to the summit. Medha is still a reluctant hiker and this particular hike was tough on her. Indian Food Rockshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13397829480472038159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5156654.post-29903096079065954112009-08-18T08:47:09.498-06:002009-08-18T08:47:09.498-06:00M is growing into quite the hiker!
